Eastlake Endodontics is very lucky to have a team of dedicated and caring professionals that are always available to answer your questions and make you feel at home. We do our part to ensure you have the most positive experience possible.

Jonathan Richards, DDS, MS

Dr. Richards grew up in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. He completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University in 1997 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Human Biology.

He and his family then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Dr. Richards earned his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Following graduation from dental school, he completed a 1 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (AEGD) with the United States Air Force Dental Corps at Sheppard AFB. He then continued to serve as a dental officer until his honorable discharge. He considers it an honor and privilege to have served the men and women of our armed forces.

In 2008, Dr. Richards received a Post-Doctoral Certificate in Endodontics after completing two additional years of rigorous training as an endodontic specialist at the University of Minnesota. In addition to this unique training, Dr. Richards earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology, with a focus on evaluation and diagnosis of tooth-related pain.

He and his family then happily moved back to Utah where he founded  Eastlake Endodontics. Dr. Richards prides himself on providing top-notch quality care to all of his patients and treating each one as if they are his own family.

Michelle Howe, DDS, MS

Dr. Howe is from Ogden, Utah. She attended the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota, where she competed in collegiate athletics as a hurdler on the track team and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Dr. Howe returned to Utah for dental school in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah School of Dentistry and graduated in 2021. Following dental school, she pursued a career in endodontics after discovering that saving teeth, whenever possible, is the aspect of dentistry she enjoys the most. She completed her education at Texas A&M School of Dentistry,
where she earned her Certificate of Endodontics and Master of Science degree in Oral Biology in 2023. Dr. Howe joined Eastlake Endodontics in 2023 and is committed to providing quality, patient-centered care.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys skiing, traveling, and trips to Bear Lake.

Our Staff

Our office is designed and operates to serve and treat you in the most comfortable way possible.  Treatment rooms are large with ample natural light.  The dental chairs are soft and many people even fall asleep!  Make a request for music or feel free to bring your own.  After treatment is complete, freshen up at our dedicated sink and mirror for that purpose.  We strive to make your visit a memorable one!

Krystal

Krystal has been with Eastlake Endodontics since 2014. She started as a chairside assistant and is now our office manager.

Her passion for visiting the dentist when she was a young child, pushed her to eventually go into dentistry. She adored the assistants, asking them questions about the process, and watching the birds at her childhood dental office as well as getting her cavity-free polaroid picture after her cleaning appointments.

After graduating high school, she started going to UVSC for child development because she loved working with children and enlightening their minds. Eventually, she changed course and completed her degree to become a registered Dental Assistant at Mountainland Applied Technology College instead.
She loves meeting new people, helping our patients feel at ease with their appointments (as best as she can), and giving people  confidence in their smile.
Krystal is married and has three active kids that keep her and her husband very busy! In addition to her kids, they also have 2 dogs running around.
When Krystal has a few minutes to herself, you can usually find her in her craft room creating. Most often, however, she’s spending time with her family in the mountains, out on a lake, playing games together, or visiting back home.

Stephanie

Stefanie grew up in South Ogden and currently lives in Riverdale. She has worked with Dr. Richards for 10 years and has been dental assisting for 13 years. Stefanie chose the dental field because she enjoys taking care of patients, helping them feel comfortable and meeting new people every day. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her sweetheart and their 5 kids on the lake or 4 wheeling in the mountains.

Katherine

Hi all! My name is Katharine. I graduated high school in 2018 from West High School. I grew up in SLC and lived in Boise for a couple of years. I got into assisting because I love helping others. I graduated from dental assistant school in June and I am currently going back to school to get a dental hygienist degree.

Ana

Ana chose dental assisting because she believes in beautiful painless smiles.  She was born and raised in Utah. Her interests consist of reading, watching movies, swimming, playing video games, cooking, photography, and pulling pranks. Her favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas, and for her, there’s nothing better than taking care of her teacup chihuahua.
